HR revolution with AI

HR revolution with AI

Human capital is a crucial area in the ERP because it represents the engine of the company. Lately, some organisations have started a new strategy in recruiting involving AI.

Alternatively, people management needs always the usage of human choices. Let's see how artificial intelligence will provide practical insights for helping in human decisions.

The AI Recruiter

Artificial intelligence is increasingly amalgamating into recruiting processes: from CV classification to interview tagging. The detection of the strengths and weaknesses of a candidate are nowadays almost entirely performed by AI.

For example, some corporations use AI for detecting human feelings and reactions from interview recordings. The application of the artificial intelligence algorithm on a recording analyses the content and returns the metrics for choosing or rejecting a candidate. Here you can find my post regarding an actual application (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/francesco-mataloni_ai-activity-6737633582879191040--73l).

Time tracking with ML

Keeping track of daily tasks is the typical repetitive activity that ML would quickly improve. Starting from form fulfilling and arriving at content prediction.

Furthermore, AI can also interrogate the areas (both in the ERP and external systems) where the user could have worked on and precompile the time tracking form with the identified information.

Refined carefulness about the personnel

As Richard Branson sustains, the more a company cares about its employees, the more the employees care about the customers. Retaining the wishes of every member of the staff helps in choosing and proposing a career path.

AI helps here in retrieving the best career fit from the possible connected data sources like, for example, CVs, current tasks, requests of courses, and social network. Also, it predicts the best internal candidate for a newly required position.

Conclusions

The usage of AI in recruiting is a fascinating discipline. It helps unveil some aspects not seen at a glance. On the other hand, human sensibility is still (and should always be) the best way to select new candidates. AI is a remarkable improvement in managing human capital.

Who would have imagined 20 years ago that we would carry the internet in our pockets, that our homes would become our offices, that parts of our jobs would one day be carried out by bots, or we’d be able to pay for things without carrying a bank card or cash? Yet here we are in the fourth industrial revolution, with all of these ‘impossibilities’ as a natural part of our day-to-day.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a massive shift in how technology affects our working lives, and it certainly won’t be the last. As a Senior IT business direction professional with over 20 years of management experience, I have helped various businesses adapt to environmental change over the years and am well qualified to help organisations develop for what lies ahead.

I am highly skilled at guiding business leaders to adopt a change mindset, embrace innovation, and deeply refine their stakeholder management. One of my successes in this area comes from my time as a consultant to a fintech startup. I helped influence growth from a localised market with only five people on the team into an international organisation with 60+ multicultural (in-house and offshore) team members in just three years, achieving revenue growth of €2m during the first year alone.

My personal strengths have played a major role in my success as a consultant in the IT space. There are new developments in the IT space every day, and an agile mindset and adaptable approach are key. I’m comfortable leading teams and wearing many hats.

However, I feel that my strongest attribute is my hunger for exciting challenges. As a forward thinker who never settles for the status quo, I am constantly learning and evolving with the new trends and technology available. I have a deep interest in artificial intelligence (AI), mobile payments, and fintech, and all of the developments occurring in these areas.

This is a challenging yet exciting time for the workplace as we know it, and organisations need strong IT on their side. I am confident that my experience, skillset, and expertise would make me a valuable asset to any team. I invite you to connect to discuss opportunities.
